Data Vaudevilles: Bits and Bytes

December 8, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm CST

Free

The final event of Stuart Flack’s residency is a series of short bits presented vaudeville-style by students in his “Performing Information: Exploring Data through Live Performance” course. The 30-minute show consists of 3-5 minute “performances” of data and information on a variety of topics, developed and created during Flack’s semester-long class and guest artist workshops. The bits utilize a variety of techniques drawn from theatre, clowning, and dance. They also employ music, poetry, humor, LEGO® blocks, digital technology, and a wide range of other surprises.

An open discussion session with the performers follows the show.
